About

If you're here, you probably know what Hellsing is. If not, I suppose I would have to enlightened you, so pull up a chair (...though if you're at a computer I'm pretty sure you did that already) and listen to this.

Hellsing began as a short hentai manga in Adult's Young King Ours manga anthology. Due to its popularity, Young King Ours asked Kouta Hirano to make a normal version of his little manga, and the Hellsing series was born.

Hellsing is basically about the descendant of Arthur van Helsing (From the novel Dracula, by Bram Stoker), whose name is Integral Wingates Fairbrook Hellsing. Don't ask me where the van drove off or why there is an extra l in the name. Ask that hentai drunkard Kouta Hirano.

(Err, I suppose I shouldn't be bad-mouthing an author whose work I am creating fanworks of, but I personally think he is insane. Tee-hee.)

Integral Hellsing runs an organization that hunts vampires. The Hellsing organization's main weapon is Alucard, who is a vampire himself. Alucard is a "true" vampire, whereas most of the vampires in the series are either fake, or weak. To keep a long story short, Alucard kicks everyone's ass. And that's pretty much all you need to know.

So who are those other guys in the comic? You ask. Well, they're the enemies of the Hellsing organization. But of course, in this comic, everyone gets along. The three main organizations in the Hellsing series are Hellsing, Iscariot, and Millennium. Random plotless violence ensues in this manga, all to the intent of destroying London.

So here comes one of the reasons I started this little webdoujinshi. Well, I'll just list the reasons (which I am coming up with as I go along):

1: I've always wanted to do a comic, and one about my favorite manga was a pretty good idea.

2: This is one of the many ways I pay tribute to Hellsing. My other forms are fanart and fanfic, and I guess you could call this a combination of both?

3: I don't like some aspects of Hellsing (such as the excessive gore and lack of plot as per mentioned before), but one of the aspects I do like is the characters. I love the character designs, and love working with them.

4: I was bored.

So anyway, when I started out for ideas of this comic, I was planning on involving the Millennium group from the start. However, I thought it would be too boring to have them be the sole stars of the show, so to speak. I wanted variety when drawing the comic, so that it would not become a dull chore rather than a fun hobby. So, eventually the other characters from the other two organizations will show up, and I'm quite looking forward to it. They're all going to be "stuck with" one another, so to speak, so much chaos will ensue. And hey, I love chaos. It's so fun to laugh at. Haha. See?

Well... that's about it, I suppose.
